Abstract
Castor oil is a naturally occurring triglyceride that is widely used in the chemical industry. Furthermore, it is a relatively inexpensive natural source of hydroxyl groups, which makes it attractive for use in polyurethane applications where it actually has already been used for a long time. This paper explains how to overcome some of the problems associated with castor oil and its modifying process.
