Mother Nature is losing her competitive edge. Gevein her wood's inferior structural capabilties, decade-long lead times, and escalating prices, things don't look good for the old gal. The engineered lumber industry is leaving her in the sawdust. For many applications, manufacturered wood outstrips the real thing. Lower costs and greater versatility are only part of the reason.
