Abstract
This paper will give the historical background leading to the establishment of a joint government-industry research project and serve as an introduction to the following three presentations which describe the main program phases. The first paper will address processing parameters to produce polyisocyanurate boardstock for roof insulation and compare the physical properties fo the resulting foams blown with conventional and alternative blowing agents. The second paper will examine the foams' thermal properties and long-term behavior under various accelerated aging conditions. The final paper will describe the in-situ thermal aging of the foams and their roof performance in different installation modes.
