Abstract
The objective of the hail study includes: 1) The standardization of elastomeric coating description for relative comparison. 2) the correlation and validation of FM test process and results with performance of aged "in-field" samples. 3) The ranking of relative "hail resistance" of differnet elastomeric coated SPF sytsems. 4) The impact applicator's performance and other factors on hails resistance of elastomeric coated SPF systems. 5) The impact of lowered temperatures on elastomeric coatigns hails resistance. 6) The identification of common industry misunderstandings in implementing hail resistance standards. 7) Methods to implement hail resistance information and standards to ensure a reduction of risk due to severe hail damage.
