This booklet is addressed to maintenance and design engineers who are concerned with the engineering properties of rubber - and particularly to those who have a hand in writing purchase specifications for rubber products. To the engineer, tests are a language. They are his way of describing the materiaal he wants. Our interest here is in the tests that are applied to rubber products. How good are they as a language?\
