Abstract
A new type of cement-based roofing sheet material is described in which the use of layers of continuous networks of fibrillated polypropylene endows the material with an elastic-plastic stress-strain characteristic. The way in which International Standards are being modified to make allowance for such quasi-ductile cement-based materials is outlined, together with the problems of defining a universally applicable accelerated weathering test.
