Abstract
Spray applied synthetic rubber modified bitumen emulsions can be applied on existing or new roof construction. The forming of a seamless solid layer is based on a physical process and allows the buildup of a 4 mm thick layer in one operation. Water, no solvents, is the "carrier" for the modified bitumen. After spraying, it provides waterproofness within half an hour. The product itself has very good fire-retarding properties. Taking 20 years of proven life into consideration, application of spray-applied modified bitumen is an economical waterproofing.
