Abstract
In far too many instances, when a building owner discovers his roof is failing, he is left with only one choice: complete roof removal and replacement. Unseen leaks gradually deteriorate the roof, making it difficult to determine the source of damage. There is, however, new found hope: infrared thermography. Infrared inspection is a non-destructive inspection technique involving trained operators using infrared cameras sensitive to heat.
