Abstract
Years ago, the superior materials & expert craftsmanship used to install roofs spearheaded the manufacturers sales pitch. In today's roofing marking, manufacturers promote their warranties as protection against problems arising from a leaking roof. Building owners and managers are responding by shopping around for the longest warranties. As design professionals, the thought process must be turned back around to make owners and managers focus on the quality of materials and design.
