Abstract
Ease of installation and an inherent ability to withstand extremes of weather can be key factors in the selection of a roofing membrane. A hot air method molecularly bonds the seams of thermoplastic membranes to form a permanently fused, homogeneous watertight seal. The building and its location and its use will determine the type of roof and the main questions are cost, availability of materials, and the familiarity of the local contracting commumity with particular products.
