Abstract
Standing seam metal roofs are well suited to some applications in cold regions but not to others. When these roofs are used inappropriately, chronic problems that are very difficult and expensive to resolve are likely. When used appropriately, these roofs perform very well. This article is excerpted from the paper, "Standing Seam Metal Roofing Systems in Cold Regions," from the proceedings on the NRCA 10th Conf on Roofing Technology.
