Abstract
This report includes a brief introduction to and and description of the wind-loading provisions of the ASCE standard 7-95. An interactive computer program representing those provisions was developed and tested by the authors and NIST staff. The resulting software is included in a diskette presented in this report. Instructions for the user of the program are also included. an appendix contains excerpts from a large number of calculaitons aimed at verifying the performance of the interactive program. following its completion, the program was submitted for beta-testing by an ASCE assembled team. The program presented in this report does not reflect the results of that testing, and is not an official version of the ASCE 7-95 Standard. A main purpose of this report is to serve the needs of professionals interested in the application of knowledge systems to the development of computer based models of standards.
