Abstract
A green specification case study for the U. S. Department of State is presented to provide insight into the process of developing and using the database of HOK Architects in Washington, DC to translate in-depth materials research into environmental specifications for current and future use. The specification sections selected for inclusinog in the study include many building envelope materials, some of which are discussed in greater detail.
