Abstract
A roof is an asset that can be managed to the economic benefit of the people responsible for it. In addition, those with a direct hand in the design, supply, and application of roof systems have an obligation to provide the building owner with a maintanable roof system that will allow the relatively simple, economically feasible application of formalized maintenance. The purpose of this paper is to discuss this obligation and some of the more important points that we need to think about when considering it.
