Principles of Reroofing

Abstract
Contractors, hopiong to save an owner the cost & complications of a tear off, may suggest reroofing over an existing system. When the old system is left in place, however, the long term success of the project can only be assured through meticulous workmanship. Every care must be taken to assure that good roofong practices are folowed, and that special attention is paid to the principles of attachment, separtion and ventilation. This article covers the principles of reroofing and some concerns that need to be addressed to ensure a good quality job.
