Abstract
In this essay, the matter is a roof system of which the main component is an insulating and draining slab. Fabricated in concrete, leaving out the fine components, and adhered to a base of extruded polystyrene foam. Because of its free location on the waterproofing, without using mortar, the slab can be laid even in bad weather situations, such as rain or snow. Produces the necessary level of thermal insulation in the roof system; protects the waterproofing from mechanical damage and exernal influences, which means an extension of its durability; the slabs form a flexible pavement in which there is no need for dilation joints; the result is a possibility of build-on construction without disturbing the waterflow, which flows freely under these constructions to the outlets, saving on specific connections and corner solutions; permits fast and easy establishment of roof gardens without the need of extra waterproofing and specific outlet systems.
