Abstract
WSRCA members have recently reported crazing, cracking, and other performance issues with some aged TPO membranes. This prompted an investigation and laboratory analysis of two roofs with these reported issues in Phoenix, Arizona to understand the possible causes of the cracking and crazing. The study was augmented by a review of the WSRCA TPO Roof Research & Testing Project dated 2 June 2011 (TPO Weathering Study). This technical bulletin presents the results of the field investigation and laboratory analysis while also considering the information collected from the TPO Weathering Study to provide WSRCA members more complete information on the causes and concerns of the observed membrane crazing and cracking.
