Abstract
The unsteady surface pressure around circular cylinders in two-dimensional flow has been measured in the sub-, suber- and trans-critical flow regions. A representation of the crosspower spectral density has been developed, which is a reasonable representation of the data and which applies to all three regions. The most important result is the essential similarity of the subcritical and transcritical regions.
