Abstract
Achieving an attic ventilation system to prevent moisture accumulation in winter, excessive heat build up in summer and deterioration of the roof structure and roofing materials, is an increasing concern of contractors and homeowners. Ridge ventilation has become a popular method to help accomplish these goals. Experts agree that ridge ventilation is effective for ventilating attic space, but stress the importance of a balanced system.
