To obtain a copy of a specific publication, users should contact the publication's publisher directly.

Abstract
This Technical Bulletin summarizes how the 2022 CEC, 2021 IECC, and ASHRAE 90.2 apply to single-family residential roofing for additions and alterations. Single-family residential buildings are a building typology with specific and at times nuanced code compliance requirements. For other building types, refer to the applicable code/standard for additional and different requirements. This Technical Bulletin is not intended to be a comprehensive guide nor replace code reviews. New construction requirements are covered under Technical Bulletin 2025_IIC-02. WSRCA members should be aware of how California’s current requirements may influence the energy code in other states in the future.
