Job safety: Roof builders handbook

To obtain a copy of a specific publication, users should contact the publication's publisher directly.

Abstract
Worker safety is of primary importance in any job. It is much more so in roofing. Roofers work high off the ground and with no or few safety lines. A scaffold system (shown in Figure 2-1) can be a life safer. The scaffold will break your fall if you should accidentally forget where you are. Scaffodling will also help to prevent injury to those on the ground from falling items. The cost to rent the scaffolding shown is around $800 a week.
