Styrenic block copolymers for bitumen-based roofing felt

Abstract
This paper describes the effect of the molecular structure of styrenic block copolymers (SBC) on bituminous binders and the effect of the interactions between the polymer and the base bitumen for roofing applications. In addition, the paper demonstrates the importance of the choice of the polymer, its morphology and the type of bitumen for optimization of the production rate in the manufacturing process.
