Abstract
Two different SBS-modified bituminous membranes were evaluated for a number of performance properites that include tensile strength, ultimate elongation, strain energy, static puncture and granule embedment. The effect of heat-aging for seven and 28 days on tensile properties was studied. The test methods for granule embedment and static puncture resistance was critically examined and modified. The number of scrub cycles were increased to study the effect of extended scrubbed. Static puncture test was extended to measure the depth of indentation over a long period of time using two different substrates. The results show significant difference between the two membranes.
