Asphalt weatherability: Modification through use of additives, catalytic blowing and blending

To obtain a copy of a specific publication, users should contact the publication's publisher directly.

Abstract
Four asphalts were subjected to 3 procedures; use of additives, catalytic blowing, and blending of overblown coating and flux, in an effort to gain insight into an overall method of improving the durability of a given asphalt. While the result is not a step by step method capable of improving the durability of asphalt, the findings do provide a good basis from which an asphalt user can rationally select a course of action to improve asphalts of substandard durability.
