Abstract
As a result of complaints & reported failures/problems with the 20-year guaranteed asphalt fiberglass shingles throughout the midwest area of the country, MRCA conducted a survey of its members in June 1992 to determine the extent and type of problems being encountered. The questionnaire requested information of both fiberglass and organic shingles. As a result of the many problems reported to MRCA through their survey and the results obtained in their test program, MRCA has adopted the asphalt shingle position paper shown in this article.
