Abstract
This paper presents the recommendations resultiong from a workshop on Hurricane Andrew. The purpose of this workshop was to develop recommendations for building codes and their enforcement that reflect the lessons learned in Hurricane Andrew. The workshop included representatives with a wide range of expertise in wind engineering and meteorology, in building deisgn and construction, in building codes and their enforcement, and in various types of building materials.
