Flammable precedent for fire safety

Abstract
For more than a year in some states, polystyrene insulation is being used in direct-to-steel deck applications without a thermal barrier. This construction method has been justified based on a newly developed Underwriters Laboratories (UL) fire safety test for roof construction.
