Abstract
With today's high cost of energy, much emphasis is placed on energy conservation. Consequently, some homeowners are taking short-cuts when replacing shingles. The commone short-cut is to apply insulation over an existing roof, and then fasten shingles directly to this insulation surface. Although this may be cost effective in the short run, it may prove to be costly in the log run.
