Abstract
This report was presented at the MRCA Convention in October, 1986. It provides insight into the new one-part butyl adhesives, such that they can be used safely and dependably. A review of the safety and health guidelines, the history on the background and development of EPDM adhesives, including their peel and shear strengths; a review of the application guidelines as well as a summary of test results for new and aged EPDM lap splices is presented.
