Abstract
The results showed that our soiling protocol can be suitable to reproduce natural soiling of roofing materials, under temperate climate. On the other hand, reflectance spectra of lab soiled samples were different from those of the naturally aged sample in hot and humid climate, particularly in the UV-visible region. Experiments are underway to integrate weathering (UV, heat), dust and microbial surrogates into our protocols, to mimic also other important factors such as UV damage and microbological growth.
