Abstract
Building codes throughout the United States and Canada have adopted, by reference, a large number of ASTM standards as authentic sources of test procedure and as a basis for acceptable quality for materials and constructions. This compilation includes, in two volumes, ASTM standards that are referenced in such nationally known codes as Basic Building Code, Building Officials and Code Administrators, International; Standard Building Code, Southern Building Code Congress; Uniform Building Code, International Conference of Building Officials; National Building Code of Canada. It also includes standards referenced in various state and city building codes. The two primary sources for this listing are the Model Codes Standardization Council publication, "MCSC List of Model Codes Standards," and the National Bureau of Standards publication, "Standards Referenced in Selected Building Codes."
