Abstract
The molecular weight distribution of asphalts before and after the thin film oven test was analyzed by using a high-performance chromatographic instrument. The method using the difference of peak spreading obtained from GPC diagram of asphalts before and after the thin film oven test to evaluate the ability of asphalt anti-aging was recommended. This method can be applied to describe the changes of the molecular weight distribution of the aged asphalt quantatively. It can be used in routine analysis for selecting asphalt materials.
