Abstract
This Standard is written to assist those persons in­terested in the application of infrared sensing devices in the assessment of building heat loss characteristics, an application of growing interest in the field of energy conservation. Because of this interest a variety of equip­ment and equipment-use services are now entering the marketplace. The equipment and survey techniques herein described outline the various types of surveys commonly conducted, with an indication of the poten­tial usefulness of the survey to the user.
