European harmonization in the buildings sector in view of the great market

Abstract
The European Market, which is going to be the most important free trade market in the world, leads to important changes in the building sector, first industrial sector in the volume of its prooduction. The European Directives affecting the building sector in the present and in the future are numerous and of a large variety. A special study will be made about the "General Construction Product" Directive, aimed at the free circulation of products, after the elimination of all technical barriers still slowing the processes today. At the same time, important work has to be achieved in order to settle harmonized European standards.
