Abstract
The decision to warranty a roof must be determined early in the project so that the roof system is designed in accordance with the material manufacturer's requirements. Some warranties will mandate use of dual layered insulaiton, some even dictating the type of insulation, while others prohibit certain coatings being used as finishes. Others may require special flashing details. This article discuses some of the escape clauses.
