Using Foamed Plastic Buiding Insulation Safely

Abstract
Foamed or cellular plastics are among the most efficient and versatile building insulatoin materials available for the construction and remodeling of industrial plants. However, there are certain fire hazards associated with their use. To find out how foamed plastic insualtion shojld be used, Plant Engineering asked safety groups, code writing organizations, plastics manufacturers, trade assocations, and technical societies what types of foamed plastic building insulation products are available, the hazards associated with their use, code recommendatioans for insualation design, and recommended practice for safe use.
