Abstract
The concern for the environment is not limited to single countries. The entire industrialized world is burdened with environmental problems, some dating from the past, some recent. Governments make an all out effort to reduce ongoing pollution and the exhaustion of natural resources and mineral supplies, tyring to deal with waste in a proper way. As a result of the continuing growth of population, production and consumption, emissions and waste flows tend to increase, unless additional technical or organizational measures are being taken all the time. The Dutch roofing contractors' assoction VEBIDAK has developed in 1992/93 a course for its members teaching enterprises which are the environmental liabilities and how to deal with them in everyday operational management in the best possible way.
