Coal tar overruns: tests help clear up controversy

Abstract
Koppers Inc and the NRCA are conducting a two phase joint program to determine the relationship between heating and application temperatures, application viscosity and the amount of interply moppings of hot applied coal tar products used in the construction of built up membranes. The first pahse, using hand mopping application techniques, has been completed and teh results are given in this report. The second phase will address mechanical application procedures, which probably account for the majority of the roofs applied.
