Abstract
Observant builders may have noticed that within the past few months the labels on many types of poliso insulation sold in the US show reduced R-values. These lower R-values do not necessarily mean that the insulation is any different. In most cases, the lower values are a reflection of a new testing method that more accurately reflects the long-term thermal performance of insulation. The June 2003 issue of this newsletter contains a letter to the editor regarding EPS as a closed cell foam. (see page 14)
