Abstract
A three-dimensional computer-oriented stiffness representation of a high-rise building is described. Statistical quantities obtained from aeroelastic models in a boundary layer wind tunnel are combined with the three-dimensional analytical building model to obtain a probabilistic description of the buiding's response. The response is expressed in terms of the mean and covariance of floor displacements and stresses in the structural members. The procedure is intended to provide a more realistic combination of the aerodynamic and structural behavior of a high-rise building.
