Abstract
This test method determines the wind uplift resistance of mechanically attached membrane roofing systems when subjected to dynamic wind load cycles. It is intended to assess the wind resistance of mechanically attached systems under dynamic conditions. The roofing system consists of a deck and roofing membrane. It may also include components such as air/vapor barriers or retarders, insulation, etc. It is subjected to a dynamic load sequence that has been developed based on wind pressuer records, simulating the effects of wind on membrane roof assemblies.
