Abstract
Tests have been made with both fastening systems: the linear fastening using a steel bar installed on top of the roofing membrane, and the spot fastening using a single fastener placed in the overlapping of two roofing membranes. The differences between the two fastening systems as shown and described are considering the performance of the membrane, the fastener and different kinds of insulation materials. The pictures illustrating the two systems under the same load and the test results show quite drastically the difference of performance under cycling load tests.
