Abstract
The selection of the proper type of nails is important for a long lasting roof. This chapter deals with the selection and installation of nails, nailing problems, covering of exposed nails, use of extra long nails, nailing plywood sheathing, plywood edge clips, fasteners required for securement of insulation sheets, nails and fasteners for built up or flat roofing, fasener penetration, correct nail selection for asphalt shingles, nailing procedures for wood shake and shingle, nails and fasteners for corrugated roofing and nailing into tile.
