Flat roofs without leaks and safe against wind uplift through mechanical fixation

Abstract
The contents of this paper are directed to the problems of insulated flat roofs through cracking of the waterproofoing and danger of wind uplift. It shows a way of mechanical fixing to avoid this. The criteria, especially on the lightweight steel deck construction are highlighted and technical details of fixings in differnt application methods are explained. The paper ends with guide lines and recommendations which are of great importance and help to remove problems on the flat roof through mechanical fixation.
