Abstract
This data sheet describes two methods for field testing roofing assemblies on steel and other roof decks to determine if adequate wind resistance is present. Field uplift tests may be needed where inferior construction is present or where a partial blow off has occurred. Uplift teests may be conducted on either built up membranes or on certain single ply membranes. The pull test is not valid if either the insulation or membrane is mechanically fastened. Note: neither test described in this data sheet should be conducted when roof wind speeds exceed 25 mph (40 km/hr).
