Abstract
By virtue of its location, a roof is easy to overlook during an inspection of a facility's overall condition. Yet periodic maintenance inspections are an important part of preventive maintenance program, and can be done by any personel with some training in roofing. By contrast with maintenance inspections, other forms of roof inspection - such as leak investigations, forensic evaluations and condition surveys require greater roofing expertise. This article discusses some of the do-it- yourself maintenance inspection procedures.
