Abstract
Urban heat island trumping insulation arguments, even in cold climates. There are certain parts of the country where reflectivity makes sense but there may be concern by some that architects and specifiers are misconstruing the suiltability of cool roofing in colder climates where winter heating costs play a larger role in energy consumption than does summer cooling.
