Abstract
This article is intended to provide the builder and building owner with an introduction to "cool" metal roof restoration. By understanding the process of metal roof deterioration and failure one can provide a system that will restore the roof to its original functionality, improve the roof's thermal performance, and preserve the metal roof well into the future. The article also presents restoration options, and the features and limitations of each, based on the chemistry of each technology.
