Abstract
As a result of the institution of standards as defined by the United States Green Building Council with regard to environmentally friendly products and products that enhance energy efficiencies, there has been a rapid growth in the area of highly reflective roof surfacing systems in North America. As this trend spread, it is important to analyze these products for their effect on sustainability, long-term performance, continued energy enhancement, and life cycle costing.
