Abstract
Two-ply insulation and waterproofing system in which, in a first stage, the boards of low modulus polystyrene foam are bonded with cold-applied adhesive. Then, a first layer of cold-applied self-adhesive waterproofing is applied on them, and, finally, this first layer is covered by a second waterproofing layer by using heat-activated welding technique. The first waterproofing sheeting is a cold-applied self-adhesive sheeting, which is fitted out with a system guaranteeing the waterproofing of overlappings, even if installation has been achieved under bad weather conditions. The second waterproofing sheeting is then applied on the first one by using heat-activated welding technique. This system can be used for new waterproofing work, as well as for renovation.
